Check out this perfect little country cottage for sale in Grimstorp Sweden
I’m such a sucker for a beautifully staged home. And when I see a price tag well under $100k for a home that’s straight out of Country Living magazine, I do a little happy dance (and then, of course, share it here with ya’ll)!
It’s hard to pick which feature I love best about this 1940’s villa, but I might have to go with that sunroom…or the pine tongue and groove ceilings, the 1/3 acre garden with fruit trees…or maybe it’s the cobra wall sconce in the bedroom (ps: if anyone knows where I can get my hands something like that, email me).
From the Listing Agent (Google Translate):
“A warm welcome to this charming villa from 1940 with a beautiful garden. A well-planned and simple accommodation with social areas, air/water heat pump and a lovely conservatory! Welcome to viewing!
Very charming house where both gables have recently been re-panelled, fiber installed and a flexible heating system in the form of an Air/water heat pump was installed in 2010. A suitably large house for the smaller family or the young couple. They also changed the panels, installed new windshields and repainted both gables in 2019
A welcoming entrance hall with landing on the left and stairs to the upper floor on the right. Looking straight ahead from the hall, you come to the lovely living room. Here it is bright and inviting. Generous surfaces provide space for both a dining room group and a sofa group. Adjacent to the living room and entrance hall is the nice kitchen with good space and good storage. Mechanical equipment in the form of stove, cooker hood, dishwasher and fridge and freezer. In addition to this, we have stairs down to the basement floor, a spacious bathroom with bathtub, wc and sink. But the pearl of the entrance floor is the glassed-in balcony with a view of the nice garden and exit to the paved patio. Entrance and balcony were repainted in 2014.
Once up the stairs we find two bedrooms which are accessed from an elongated hall with spacious storage and access to a nice balcony. Both bedrooms are a good size. The larger bedroom has nice built-in wardrobes and a spacious attic for storage.
A good and well-maintained basement with nice storage areas, boiler room and laundry room with washing machine from 2019 and tumble dryer from 2010.”
