Surrounded by the Dalälven River just a short 5-minute stroll away, this property has a perfect blend of indoor and outdoor intrigue. The kitchenette and living/dining area in the lower cottage also got a fresh glow up recently, with gorgeous red floral wallpaper and wrap-around windows that let in streams of light. Green paint on the brickwork behind the stove also creates a cozy haven, offset by the wooden bar-style table and wood plank walls that provides a rustic cabin vibe while also feeling newly renovated. And seriously, check out those velvet and wooden rocking chairs.
The floral accents continue into the dreamy bedroom space, where pinks, greens and reds abound. The details are seriously unmatched. Between the blush walls, floral wallpapers, bed nook and white paneled ceilings, I can't decide which detail I love the most.
With recent upgrades to the property that include new appliances, redistributed electricity, a new well in the yard and heat pumps in both houses, the glow up has been real, and you'll be cozy even when winter throws its chilliest punches. The outside also got a facelift, when a handful of trees closest to the property were removed to let the sunshine flood the yard.
Beyond the cabins, the forest also provides a whimsical respite throughout the year, whether you’re hunting mushrooms in season, chasing butterflies and dragonflies and the promise of spritely fairies in summer, growing your own vegetables in the fertile ground of summer or (if you’re brave enough) soaking in the outdoor tub with water headed by the boiler wall while you stare up at the starry sky above.
